Following the annual election and budget meeting that
took place on October 25, 2011 the proposed 2012 budget was passed. New

take effect January 1, 2012.

PROTECT YOUR PIPES:
If you leave your unit for any length of time during cold weather, remember to
set your thermostat no lower than 55
degrees to prevent your pipes from freezing.
Make sure your doors are secure.
AVOID FLOODING
YOUR UNIT: If your unit is
your second home or you will be gone for more than a couple a days the Zia
Vista Board and Staff are recommending the following procedures for shutting
off the water for unoccupied units:
1.
Turn off main valve on water heater. Location is
on the top of heater. Turn clockwise for “OFF”.
Turn counter clockwise to turn it back “ON”.
2.
Turn off water heater breaker.
3.
Shut off your valves underneath the kitchen and
bathroom sinks.
4.
Shut off valves behind toilets.
5.
Shut off both your hot and cold valves to your
washer.
